Italia Rediscovered — Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to every journey booked with Italia Rediscovered LLC. By paying a deposit, you agree to them on behalf of everyone in your booking.

1. Booking and payment

  1. Reserving. Your place is confirmed once we receive your completed booking form and a deposit of $750 per person. We will send a written confirmation within 3 business days.

  2. Balance. The remaining balance is due 90 days before departure. If you book within 90 days of departure, full payment is due at booking. If the balance is not received by the due date, we may cancel your booking and apply the cancellation charges in Section 2.

  3. Prices. All prices are per person in US dollars, based on two people sharing a room. Guests traveling alone pay the single supplement shown for that journey.

  4. Early-booking prices apply only to bookings made, with the deposit paid, by December 31, 2026. They cannot be applied to existing bookings after that date.

  5. Price guarantee. Once your deposit is paid, your price will not increase, except for new government taxes or fees introduced after you book.

  6. Payment methods. We accept credit card or bank transfer. Card payments may include a processing fee of [X]%.

  7. Booking through a travel advisor. If you book through a travel advisor, these terms still apply, and payments are made as arranged through your advisor.

2. Cancellations and changes

If you cancel. Cancellations must be made in writing by email. Charges are based on the date we receive your notice:

Cancellation charge (per person):

Days before departure:
91 days or more - Deposit ($750), non-refundable
61 to 90 days - 50% of the total price
60 days or fewer - 100% of the total price
No-show or leaving the trip early - 100% of the total price, no refund for unused services

We strongly recommend travel insurance with cancellation coverage to protect you against these charges.

Transferring your place. You may transfer your booking to another person at no charge up to 60 days before departure, as long as the new guest accepts these terms. Later transfers depend on the properties' approval and may carry their fees.

Changes you request. We will do our best to accommodate changes, such as a different room type or date, subject to availability. Changes made within 90 days of departure may carry a fee of $[X] plus any supplier charges.

If we cancel. Each journey needs a minimum of 6 guests. If this minimum is not reached, we will tell you at least [75] days before departure. You may then choose a full refund of everything you have paid us, or move to another departure. We may also cancel for reasons outside our control (see Section 4) or for your safety. In any cancellation by us, our responsibility is limited to refunding the money you have paid us. We are not responsible for flights, insurance or other costs you have arranged separately, which is one more reason to book refundable flights or wait for our go-ahead before buying them.

Major changes by us. If we must make a significant change before departure, such as a different property or date, you may accept the change, choose another departure, or cancel for a full refund.

3. Your trip

What is included. Each journey includes exactly what is listed on its page: accommodation, the meals, tastings, activities, transfers and guides described. Anything not listed is not included, including international flights, travel insurance, massages and spa treatments, extra drinks and personal expenses.

Itinerary changes. Itineraries are a guide. Weather, local conditions, harvest timing or supplier availability may require us to change the order of activities or replace one with something of similar value. Truffle hunts, outdoor dinners and boat trips depend on weather and season. These adjustments do not entitle you to a refund.

Travel insurance. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation and interruption, medical care, emergency evacuation and lost baggage. You are responsible for arranging it.

Passports and entry requirements. You are responsible for having a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date and for meeting any entry requirements for Italy and the Schengen area, including any pre-travel authorization required at the time of your trip. We cannot be held responsible if you are refused boarding or entry.

Health and mobility. Our journeys include walking on uneven ground, vineyard paths and historic town centers. Please tell us about any medical condition, mobility limitation, allergy or dietary need when you book, so we can do our best to accommodate it. We cannot guarantee that every request can be met, and you are responsible for bringing any medication you need.

Alcohol. Wine is central to these journeys. You must be at least 21 years old to take part in tastings, and we ask everyone to drink responsibly. Non-alcoholic options are available on request.

Conduct. We travel as a small group and as guests of family-run estates. We may remove from the trip, without refund, anyone whose behavior is unsafe, abusive or seriously disruptive to the group or our hosts.

Flights. Flights are not part of our journeys. Please do not buy non-refundable flights until we confirm that your departure is guaranteed to run.

4. Responsibility and legal

Our role. Italia Rediscovered LLC designs and arranges your journey. Accommodation, meals, transport, guides and activities are provided by independent suppliers, such as the estates, drivers and local guides. We choose them with care, but we do not own or control them and are not responsible for their acts, omissions or negligence. Each supplier's own terms also apply to its services.

Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for your journey. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as missed connections, lost earnings or disappointment.

Events outside our control. We are not responsible for delays, changes or cancellations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, illness outbreaks, government actions, war, terrorism, airline failures or similar events. If such an event forces us to cancel a journey before departure, we will refund any money we are able to recover from suppliers, or offer a credit toward a future departure.

Assumption of risk. Travel and activities such as walking tours, boat trips, cooking classes and yoga carry some risk. By booking, you accept these risks and confirm you are fit to take part.

Photos. We may take photos during the trip and use them on our website and social media. If you prefer not to appear, just tell us and we will respect that.

Privacy. We collect only the personal information needed to plan your trip and share it only with the suppliers who need it, such as the estates and drivers. We never sell your information.

Concerns during your trip. If something is not right, please tell us right away so we can fix it while you are there. Any complaint after the trip must be sent in writing within 30 days of your return.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA.
